Abby Cotter Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on June 28, 2025, at the age of 67, Abby Cotter of Granite City, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Abby is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Abby's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She was predeceased by: her father Melvin Cotter. She is survived by: her mother Joann Cotter of Granite City; her daughter Jessica Lester (Mark) of Okawville; her grandchildren, Zachary Daugherty of Granite City, Kaitlin Manker of Okawville, Parker Lester of New Port Richey, FL and Paxton Lester of Belleville, IL; and her sisters, Carol Denny (Gary) of Glen Carbon, IL, Alice Heidbrink (Steve) of Granite City and Carrie Wiesehan (Scott) of Troy, MO. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Okawville Senior Center and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
