He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Carl Tempel, Jr. and Diane Keller (Mitch); his grandson Cody Keller (Abbey); his great grandchildren, Etta and Nora; his brother Phil Tempel (Carol); and his sister-in-law Carol Tempel.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 9th 2027 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Thompson Center at Mel Price Park (1500 Caseyville Ave, Swansea, IL 62226). When COVID hit, it was the end of attending games in person.
