She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Harrison and Clara Harrison (Walz); her husband Anton "Tony" Frederick Garber; her sons, Michael Garber and John "Butch" Garber; and her siblings, William Harrison, James Harrison, Barbara Pettersson, Linda Tennant, Marilyn Burdzilauskas, Elizabeth Crone, Ruth Harrison, Rosemary Ensor, Ralph Harrison and Donald Harrison.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Dorris (Frank) of East St, Katherine McDavid (Scott Byrum) of South County, MO and Charles Garber of Litchfield, IL; her daughter-in-law Charrie Garber of Port Orchard, WA; her siblings, Esther "Sis" Wagner, Patricia Jeske (Pat) and Richard Harrison; her grandchildren, Derrick Fitzhugh (Sarah), Joshua Garber, Frank Dorris, Charles Garber and Collin McDavid; and her great grandchildren, Julia Garber, Andy Garber and Athon Fitzhugh. She is also survived by several great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Irwin Chapel (3960 Maryville Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home. Keep Carol's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
