We are sad to announce that on April 3, 2024, at the age of 91, Carol Joyce Gendron of Granite City, Illinois, born in Harrisburg, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her father Charles McClendon; her husband Paul E. Gendron; her brothers, Robert McClendon and Thomas McClendon; and her son-in-law Dave Prengel.

She is survived by : her mother Beulah McClendon (Caldwell); her daughters, Lisa Kelly (Mike) of Orange Park, FL, Lori Messina (Tom) of Maryville, IL, Paula Kwiatkowski (Dave) of Granite City, IL and Penny Prengel of Granite City, IL; her grandchildren, Ian Kelly, Alison Hancock (Caleb), Natalie Messina, Leslie Anderson (Dave), Alex Kwiatkowski (Ashlee), Kimberly Saucier (Sam), Scott Prengel (Liz) and Daniel Prengel; and her great grandchildren, Claire Kwiatkowski, Ted Kwiatkowski, Theodora Prengel, Thomasin Prengel, Tobias Prengel, Forrest Hancock and Boyd Hancock. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Irwin Chapel (3960 Maryville Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorial donations may be given to Parkinson's Foundation. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
