We bid farewell to David E. Carter of Granite City, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 12, 2025 at the age of 71. David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Carter and Mable Carter (McBrian); and his brother Bobby Carter. He is survived by: his children, Vicki Carter of Granite City, John Sappington (Jennifer) of Bethalto, IL and David Jr. Carter (Ariel) of Carterville, MO; and his brother Gary Carter (Sandy) of Granite City. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren with one on the way; several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory (3939 Lake Dr, Granite City, IL 62040).
