It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elena L. Bodi of Granite City, Illinois, born in Saint Joseph, Illinois, who passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Vasques and Frances Vasques (Sanchez); her husband Anthony J. "Tony" Bodi; and her siblings, Gloria Vasques, Linda Rodriguez and Richard Ramos.
She is survived by: her children, Tina Vasques of Granite City and Salvador Toro (Roxy) of Troy, Missouri; her stepsons, Mark Bodi (Terri) of Granite City and Richard Bodi of Granite City; her grandchildren, Heather Hayes (Scott Mills), Salvador Toro III, Gabriella Toro, Salena Toro, Jeremy Bishop, Chad Collins, Raeanna Robbins (James), Kelsey Bodi and Tyler Bodi; and her siblings, Hilda Vasques of Granite City, Lydia Slayton (Jim) of Fairmont City and Pete Vasques of Fairmont City. She is also survived by many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
