With sadness, we share the passing of Elva Dean Chiappa (Granite City, Illinois). Elva, born on February 19, 1940, passed away on July 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Otto and Philomene Otto (DeWilde); her siblings, Erline Barillaro, Nelda Foster, Marvin Otto and Glenn Otto; and her stepson John Chiappa.
She is survived by: her husband Andrew Chiappa; her children, LeeAnn (Russ Bronson) of Portland and Scott (Jennifer Vickers) of Brentwood, California; her grandchildren, Hailey (Mike Solomon), Blake Bronson and Landyn Vickers; her great grandchild Benji Solomon; her stepchildren, Jim (Beth Chiappa) of Pontoon Beach, Donna Roach of Montgomery City and Joe (Dee Chiappa) of Grafton; her siblings, Rudell Cowell of Sparta and Dennis Otto of St. Charles, Missouri; and her niece Donna Rudroff of Florissant, Missouri. She is also survived by many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
