It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Young of Granite City, Illinois, born in Potosi, Missouri, who passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon E. Bouse and Annie D. Bouse (Lee); her husband Delbert "Jerry" Young; her son Michael Dunnavant; her grandson Marcus Gordon; her siblings, George Bouse (Bernice), Mary Neff (Ronald) and Lenora Wisdom (Treffie); and her brothers-in-law, Earl McIntire and Stanley Carpenter.
She is survived by: her children, Eugene Dunnavant of Madison, Illinois, Benny Dunnavant of Madison, Illinois, Kenny Dunnavant of Madison, Illinois and Theresa Fleming (Mike) of Granite City, Illinois; and her siblings, Edith McIntire of Madison, Doshia Shivers (Lloyd) of Potosi, Essie Carpenter of Granite City, Curtis Bouse (Barbara) of Potosi and Johnnie Roger of Oklahoma. She is also survived by her 21 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
