He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Herbert and Maggie Elizabeth Gilliam (Nelson). He is survived by: his spouse Iline Estella Hughes; his daughters, Linda R. Kessler (David) of Granite City, IL, Darlene Allmeyer White (Glenn) of O'Fallon, MO and Melissa M. Marcus (Eric) of Granite City, IL.; his grandchildren, Sarah Forrester (Albert), Eric Marcus II, Jake Marcus, Grace Marcus, Stephanie Kessler and Elana White; his great grandchildren, Hallie (Greggory Avants), Wyatt, Ella, Rhett Forrester, Peyton and Lily White; and his great great grandchild Waylon James Avants. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Calvary Life Church (4650 Maryville Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Skaggs Cemetery.
