He was predeceased by : his parents, Conception Ortiz and Elena Ortiz (Garcia); his son David Ortiz; and his siblings, Vital, Steve, Jim, Tony, Joe, Rica, Annie, Ramona and Linda.
He is survived by : his daughters, Elena Saxton of Hazelwood and Jennifer Schmidt (Tom) of St. Louis; his grandchildren, William and Christina Saxton; and his sisters, Mary Thorson (Earl) of Mounds View, Tresa Ortiz of Granite City and Angie Masinelli (Rad) of Scottsdale, Arizona. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
