Hays of Granite City, Illinois, born in Cumberland City, Tennessee, who passed away on October 26, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Hays of Washington; his wife Patsy Leola Hays; his daughter Pamela Jones; and his siblings, J. W., Virgil, Robert Louis Hays, Garnet Clements, Della Waynick, Zella Clements, Elizabeth Nunnery and Josephine Dallas.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Bunton of DuQuoin, IL and Vicki Meister (Gregory) of Mascoutah, IL; his son-in-law Brian Jones of Pontoon Beach, IL; and his grandchildren, Jackie, Kevin, Samantha and Brooke. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
