He was predeceased by: his parents, Prentice McIlroy and Mary Sue McIlroy (Bone); his spouse Beverly "Bev" Thomas; his son Eric McIlroy; his great grandchildren, Teddy McIlroy and Ezra McIlroy; and his sister Bennie Sue McTigue.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Long (McIlroy) of Granite City, IL, Monica Weathers (Chris) of Troy, IL and Troy McIlroy (Susan Conrad) of St. Louis, MO; his grandchildren, Sean McIlroy (Carrie), Rebecca McIlroy, Ryan Long, Riley Long and Landon Warren; his great grandchild Daisy McIlroy; and his siblings, Kenny McIlroy of Glen Carbon, IL, Mike McIlroy (Peggy) of Charleston, MO, Donnie Pemberton of Jackson, MO, Janet Greer of East Prairie, MO, Carolyn Hooten of Gideon, MO and Barbie Hopgood (Don).
