He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Ray Sims of Alton and Dorothy Jean Sims (Monday) of Alton. He is survived by: his siblings, Wendell J. Sims (Gail) and Janet S. Siria; his siblings' children, Rhonda J. Soest (Edward) and Kevin R. Scifres (Christina); and his friend Donald Stumpe. He is also survived by relatives, friends.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Alton Wood River Sportman's Club (3109 Godfrey Rd, Godfrey, IL 62035).
