With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Helen M. Withers of Granite City, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Helen left this world on October 5, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Dobrowolski and Walerja Dobrowolski (Kowakzyk); her sons, Gary, Mark and Brian Withers; and her siblings, Leocadia "Lee" Krpan, Ann Gorman and Theresa Carnahan (Joseph Dobrowolski).
She is survived by: her daughters, Laurie Bauer (Tony) of Edwardsville, IL and Angela Stoeberl (David) of St. Louis, MO; and her granddaughters, Kristen Coyle, Brandi Withers, Emily Stoeberl and Audrey Stoeberl. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Irwin Chapel (3960 Maryville Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (2300 Pontoon Rd, Granite City, IL 62040).
Memorial donations may be given to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church or masses.
