He is survived by: his sons, David Lee Messick (Karen) of Granite City and Michael Joseph Messick of St. Louis, MO; his granddaughters, Michelle Pryor and Sarah Jones (David); and his great grandchildren, Jada Spurgeon, Jayci Jones, Amyah Jones, Blake Jones, Shane Argent, Taynia Bennett, Marissa Kile, Erykah Craig and Zachery Garrett. He is also survived by 8 great-great grandchildren.
