JoAnn King Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of JoAnn King of Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on June 9, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alan Whitaker and Alice Whitaker (Smith); her husband William Charles "Chuck" King; her siblings, Alan C. Whitaker Jr., Phyllis Smith and Vincinetta Taylor; and her pet Almond Joy.

She is survived by: her children, Denise Lofink (Dave) of Granite City, Michael Kalert (Gena) of Bethalto and David Kalert (Scott Eberhart) of Glen Carbon; her stepsons, Brian King (Teresa) of Fulton, Brad King of Imperial and Brent King of Columbia, Missouri; her grandchildren, Maerhanda Rolens, Steven Kalert, Melissa Sullivan, Jacob Kalert, Briana King, Rachel King, Evelyn King and Cyd King; her great grandchildren, Destiny, Aubrey, Paige, Joseph, Charli and Blake; her great great grandchild Addilyn; and her sister Betty Stearns of Granite City. She is also survived by other extended family and friends.
