Mildred Collins Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Collins of Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Hart and Lura Hart (Porter); her husband Warren D. Collins; her son Allen H. Collins; and her siblings, Willard Hart, Claude Hart, Clinton Hart and Dorothy Hart.
She is survived by: her sons, Curt Collins (Charlene) of Florissant and Patrick Collins (Chris) of Collinsville; her grandchildren, Eric Collins, Evan Collins, Emily Collins, Danielle Castelli (Joshua), Jacklyn Whipple (Taylor), Phillip Collins (Madison) and Candace May (Darron); and her great grandchildren, Evelyn Castelli, J. J. Whipple, Rowan Collins, Emma Morgan, Ellis May and Walker May. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Irwin Chapel (3960 Maryville Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Memorial Cemetery (13 Old Town Creek Rd, Murphysboro, IL 62966).
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Edwardsville and may be accepted at the funeral chapel. Keep Mildred "Millie" Collins's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
