It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond L. Cloninger of Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Cloninger and Maudie Cloninger; his siblings, Dorothy, Gene, Pauline and Roy; his wife Nancy Jean Cloninger (Stroder); and his children, Jeremy R. Cloninger and Melissa Cloninger.
He is survived by: his sisters-in-law, Laura Smith of Granite City and Faye Stroder of Chicago. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; other extended family.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Irwin Chapel (3960 Maryville Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
