Richard James Stanton Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on December 28, 2018, at the age of 88, Richard James Stanton (Granite City, Illinois), born in Pinckneyville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Ray and Mabel Irene Stanton (Ballheimer); his siblings, Mabel Browning Chell, Mark Ray Stanton II and John Stanton; and his sister-in-law Norma Jean Stanton.

He is survived by: his children, Cynthia Warden (Brian) of Pocahontas, Patricia Galbraith (Ron) of Granite City, Susan Stanton of Granite City, Teresa Mooshegian (Dave) of Glen Carbon, Richard Stanton and Dawn Weinmann of Bunker Hill; his child-in-law Sharon Balke-Stanton; his grandchildren, Jessica Short (Josh), Alyson Warden, Katelyn Galbraith, Kelsey Galbraith, Kimberly Galbraith, Rebecca Mooshegian (Kyle Brewer), Michelle Webb (Scott), David Mooshegian, Emily Stanton and Sydnee Stanton; his great grandchildren, Henry Webb, Westin and Rowen Roberts; his sister-in-law Kathy Stanton of Warner Robins, Georgia; and his niece Joann Stanton. He is also survived by nephews; other extended family and friends.

Memorials donations will be given to the Alzheimer's Association, American Diabetes Foundation or the American Cancer Society and may be accepted at the funeral home.
