With sadness, we share the passing of Robert Harry Soehnlin of Granite City, Illinois. Robert, born on January 25, 1943, passed away on September 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry M. Soehnlin and Mary Soehnlin; his siblings, Richard P. Soehnlin and Susan Patricia Baquet; and his son-in-law Kenneth Bayers.
He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Soehnlin; his daughters, Cheryl Jonte (Raymie) and Teresa Soehnlin-Bayers; his grandchildren, Rebecca Jonte, Robert Jonte, Jeffrey Jonte and Nichole Jonte; and his great grandchildren, Rowan and Evelyn.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (2606 Washington Ave, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospital for Children, Granite City APA (Association for the Protection of Animals), or the family.
