With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Boyd of Granite City, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 17, 2024 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benton Boyd and Virginia Boyd (Conway); and his siblings, Eugene "Boog" Boyd, William "Bill" Boyd, Bobby Lee Boyd and Eudora "Marlene" Boling.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Boyd of Holiday Shores, IL; his sister Judy Batson of Moro, IL; his children, Christine Boyd (Delonda) of Chapel Hill, NC, Allison Boyd (Jim) of Boulder, CO and Joseph Boyd (Kristy) of Hudson, IL; his grandchildren, Matthew, Aidan and Leah; and his sister-in-law Susan Moggio (Raymond). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, loved ones are encouraged to feed a hummingbird or plant a tree.
