She was predeceased by: her parents, Lon L. and Mary E. Hood (Way); her husband Millard O. Winfield; her sons, Douglas Winfield and Bruce O. Winfield; her grandson Corey; and her siblings, Kay Kincer, Roberta Fischer, Mary Helen Seis, Lon Hood Jr., James Hood and Frederick Hood.
She is survived by: her children, Judy White (Robert) of Maryville, Brian Winfield (Jeanette) of Granite City, Mary Beth Boone (Brad) of Granite City and Nancy Hauptman of Glen Burnie, Maryland; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Winfield of Granite City; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Mark, Greg, Scott, Tim, Amanda, Amy, Brett, Becky, Bradley, Alan, Jessica, Michael, Mecalla and Mady; and her brothers, Wallace and Patrick Hood of Minnesota. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; other extended family.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Irwin Chapel (3960 Maryville Rd, Granite City, IL 62040). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (2300 Pontoon Rd, Granite City, IL 62040).
Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Catholic Church or as Masses and may be accepted at the funeral chapel.
