He is survived by: his family, Curt Edwards of Florida, Brad Edwards of Florida, Brian Edwards of Granite City, Emily Edwards and Melissa Edwards; his stepchildren, Laura Merz of Granite City and Max Merz of Granite City; his stepgrandchildren, Hannah, Mark and Lucas; his sibling's children, Susan Cathey Charter of Texas, Cathy Watson of Texas, Thomas Richard Charter of Belleville and Dr. Jeffrey Watson of Texas; and his cousin Sandy Kozyak of Granite City. He is also survived by other extended family and many dear friends.
