He is survived by: his former wife Linda Sue Harris; his children, Michelle Heather Woll (Rick) of Collinsville, Whitney Amber Whiteside (Tracy) of St. Charles and Christopher Ryder; his grandchildren, Kody, Devonte Whiteside of Cahokia, Carey Stine (Cameron) of O'Fallon and Randee; his great grandchildren, Luca Jordan and Leia Jordan of Dardanelle, Arkansas; his siblings, Wayne Edgar Shoemaker (Doris) of Columbia, Missouri, Cheryl Ann Shoemaker of Kansas City and Suzanne Elizabeth Gebhardt of Columbia, Missouri; his brother-in-law Jim Stamper (JoAnn) of Granite City; and his nieces and nephews, Wayne Everett Gambrell (Heather) of Raymore, Hertis Stone Jr. (Linda) of Lucas, Randall Stone (Kellie) of Mansfield, James Stone (Shelly) of Mansfield, Ohio, Lisa Karen Kunkle of Kansas City, Beth Ann Heinrich (Steve) of Columbia, Debra Hecht (John) of Mansfied, Pamela Stafford (Byron) of Milton and Karen Drouhard (Larry) of Mansfield, Ohio. He is also survived by other extended family and many friends.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church in Granite City and may be accepted at the funeral home.
