It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma L. Spicer of Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on November 4, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Velma L. Spicer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Nemeth and Julia Nemeth (Herrick); her former husband Willis Christian; her spouse Harding Spicer; and her sisters, Gloria Bennett, Bertha Wasylak, Bonnie Fisher and Ella Smith (Alec Nemeth).
She is survived by: her son Larry Christian of Valles Mines, Missouri; her grandchildren, Laura Gallegos (Gerardo) of Houston and Seth Christian of Valles Mines, Missouri; and her great grandchild Jordan Robert Perkins of Valles Mines, Missouri. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
