He is survived by: his children, Dena Mayes (Daniel Juedemann) of Glen Carbon, Derek Mayes (Susie) of Granite City, Devin Mayes of McKinney and Darletha Lesar (John) of Granite City, Illinois; his grandchildren, Ava Mayes, Eliana Mayes, Brooke Mayes, Lauren Mayes, Ashley Pejakovich, Samantha Rydgig and Nicholas Lesar; his great grandchildren, Layla Rydgig, Carter Rydgig, Gracie Lesar and Bridget Lesar; and his siblings, Gary Mayes (Bev) and Rosalee King.
