He is survived by: his wife Karen Nichols of Grant Park; his children, Adam Nichols of Bradley and Amanda Libak (Justin) of Florida; his grandchildren, Madison and Reagan Libak; his sister Glynda Burk (Rick); and his brothers-in-law, Jim Frost, Dennis Cote, Robert Buck (Gena) and Ken Buck (Gina). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
