He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Houghton and Dorothy Houghton (Blizek); his wife Patricia Jones; his daughter Pamela Carrasquillo; his great grandchild Brianna Diestelow; and his sisters, Lorraine Blizak and Linda Cornell.

He is survived by: his son Kenneth Houghton (Kim); his brother Robert Houghton (late Charlene); his son-in-law Jose Carrasquillo; his grandsons, Paul Diestelow (Andrea) and Daniel Carrasquillo; and his great grandchildren, Blake Diestelow, Jasmine Parker and Xavier Parker. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
