He was predeceased by : his parents, Virgil Aimone and Eugenia Aimone (Ellena); his sister Ginny Benassi; and his brother-in-law Larry Benassi. He is survived by : his wife Helen Joyce Ellena; his children, Beth Carr and Jeff Aimone (Traci); his grandchildren, Megan Lenahan (Timothy), Heather Leimbach, Matthew Carr (Simone), Jessica Janiak and Mitchell Aimone; and his great grandchildren, Jaclyn Janiak and Olivia Lenahan.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Standard Fire and Rescue, Putnam County Ambulance or to the family toward a memorial in his name at Edgewood Golf Club.
