It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Caryl Eckhart of Grayslake, Illinois, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on December 22, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Caryl may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Spencer Knapp and Maude Knapp; and her sister Nancy Jackson (James Lacivita). She is survived by: her sons, Bradford Eckhart of Venice, CA and Kenneth Eckhart (Kelly) of Grayslake; her grandchildren, Gianna, Sean, Ashley Eckhart and Thomas Hohenstein of Grayslake; her sister Susan Rust of Painesville, OH; and her brother-in-law Alan Jackson of Valley City, OH. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
