He was predeceased by: his mother Louise Sexton Ritchie; his son Carl Wayne; and his siblings, Roger, Corbett, Oscar "Dell", James, Bessie, Ruby, Dollie and Esther.
He is survived by: his daughter Tara OConnor (Martin) of Grayslake; and his brother Samuel "Kell" Ritchie of Leatherwood, KY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
