He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roy and Dorothy; his wife Ginger Holmquist; his sons, Gene Jr. Holmquist (Patty) of Chandler, AZ, Jeff Holmquist (Lisa) of Deer Park, IL, Jim Holmquist of Burnham, IL and John Holmquist of Kearny, AZ; his grandchildren, Taylor Robertson (Tyler) of Scottsdale, AZ, Ben Holmquist of Palatine, IL, Christine Holmquist of Chicago, IL, Cody Holmquist of Mesa, AZ and Vincent Holmquist of Chandler, AZ; his great grandchild Croix; and his siblings, Roy Holmquist (Carol) of Ellison Bay, WI, Nancy Conrad of Chicago, IL and Betty Slazes (Frank Sr.) of Lake Villa, IL.. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
