We announce the death of Jessica S. Albert of Grayslake, Illinois, who passed away on October 19, 2026, at the age of 49. Jessica will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Jessica will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Jessica will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Jessica’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She is survived by: her husband Adam; her parents, Michael Smuksta and Kris Smuksta; her sons, Seth and Reid; and her brother Matt Smuksta (Satomi) of Wisconsin. She is also survived by family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Strang Funeral Chapel (410 E Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Park Foundation (https://www.nationalparks.org) or the Lake County Forest Preserve's Foundation.
