We announce the death of Joann H. Schubert (Grayslake, Illinois), who passed away on October 12, 2026. Joann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kauko Matson and Helen Matson; her siblings, Raymond Matson and Virginia Baade; and her husband Norman Schubert.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jill Olson (Doug), Stacy Worklan (Jeremy) and Renee Champine; her grandchildren, Matigan, Rebekah, Vance, Delaney, Aaron, Dominick, Gavin, Anna, Brody and Noah; her great grandchild Joshua; and her brother Tom Matson (Anne). She is also survived by many extended family members and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Strang Funeral Chapel (410 E Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
