It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Strauss of Grayslake, Illinois, who passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Mary leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jakob Fischler and Theresia Fischler. She is survived by: her husband Frank Strauss; her daughters, Lisa Cobb (Wayne) of McHenry and Linda Budner (Mark) of New London, WI; her granddaughters, Shannon Cobb of Mundelein, Kaitlyn Cobb of McHenry and Maddie Budner of New London; and her niece Kathy Peterson of Roselle.
In lieu of flowers, contributions made in Mary's memory may be directed toward the medical needs of her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
