It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond Bruno Mika (Grayslake, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on October 9, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruno Mika and Sophie Mika; and his sisters, Geraldine Stanek, Kathleen Mathews and Mary Cushman.

He is survived by: his children, Tiffany (Derek Getsla), Natalie (Michael Parkhurst), Daniel (Airen), Raymond (Bria) and Janice Petrovic; his pet Squanto; his siblings, Rosemarie Hersey, Joseph Mika (Kathy), Norbert Mika (Laura), Gary Mika (Holly) and Bruno Mika (Karen); his grandchildren, Alexander, Logan, Madison, Kaylee, Aiden, Cassadee and Navani; and his former wife Brenda Mika. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was a joy to have as a neighbor. Always a welcoming smile and wave. During my many trips to the cornfield to dump yard waste, I would stop and swap stories about our yards and family.
