He was predeceased by : his parents, Wallace Max Compton and Shirley Ilene Compton (Eaton). He is survived by : his sons, Tyler Compton (Jamie) of Grayville and Braden Compton of Olney, Illinois; his siblings, Jeff Compton of Grayville, Illinois, Kim Scarboro of Melbourne, Neina Blizzard of Asheville and Ronna Loppnow of Houston, Texas; his grandson Deacon; his friends, Sam Hosman, Cindy Anselment and Mike Austin; and also Jeff Compton.

A reception was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Home of Jay's Brother (937 North Ct, Grayville, IL 62844).
