She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Washington and Nancy McDaniel (King); her husband William Joseph Smith (Jack); her daughter Judi Kay Dycus; and her siblings, Alice Crandall and Mertis York.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Braden of Grayville, IL, Joseph Smith (Candith) of Mattoon, IL. and Leo Smith of Grayville, IL; her grandchildren, Tim Langford, James Braden, Sarah Braden, Daniel Smith (Lyese), Benjamin Smith, Amanda Mercer and Jessica Roberts (Allen); her great grandchildren, Harli, Killian, Everleigh, Tanner, Haley, Dylan, Lydia, Tyler, Kylie, Owen, Abbey, Jaxon and Braxton; and her brothers, Virgil McDaniel and Lester McDaniel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
