It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amelia Burger of Greenfield, Illinois, who passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Amelia Burger to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Burger and Nema Burger (Wade); her grandsons, Darrel Titus and Jeremiah Costello; her sons-in-law, David Sibley and Larry Costello; and her siblings, Janabelle Nix, Myrl Curtin, Audrey Burger, Earl Burger and Samuel Burger.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Springman (Steve) of Greenfield, Linda Dailey (Jeff) of Hamburg, Lois Sibley (Mike) of Hamburg and Gary Wilson (Donna) of St. Charles, MO.; and her grandchildren, Joel Rhodes (Terri), Mikayla Hellrung (Josh), Tanner Wilson, Mariah Wilson, Jesse Sibley (Yuko), Josh Sibley (Kendra), Emily Stuby (Brad), Travis Dailey (Selina), Chris Sibley, Amy Jones (Kevin), Danielle Gallaway (Patrick), Katie Sibley and Matthew Sibley (Caroline). She is also survived by twenty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shields-Bishop Funeral Home (604 Walnut, Greenfield, IL 62044). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at the Witt Cemetery.
