He was predeceased by: his parents, Estella H. Collins (Cope) and Edward L. Collins Sr.; his brother Leonard Collins; his parents-in-law, Alma and Manuel Lair Sr.; and his brothers-in-law, Manuel Lair Jr., Delmer Wells and Kimball Copley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Custer (Jerrid) and Ashley Mesey (Christopher); his grandchildren, Grace Custer, Orion Mesey, Maggie Custer, Finley Mesey, Aurora Mesey, Genesis, Faithlyn and Gannon Booth; his brother David Collins (Kim) of Alton; and his siblings-in-law, Alvin Lair (Janie) of Friendswood, Debbie Hard of Moro, Loretta Wells of Chester, Linda Lair of Columbia, MO and Diana Copley of Brighton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
