With sadness, we share the passing of Jerome Joseph Stein (Bethalto, Illinois). Jerome, born on June 28, 1943 in Golden Eagle, Illinois, passed away on October 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Jerome for his warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Stein and Elizabeth Stein (Kary); and his daughter Kathi Haas. He is survived by: his spouse Carroll Darlene Haas; and his children, Mike Stein of White Hall, Dennis Haas (Ronna) of Wood River, William "Bill" Haas (Stacey) of East Alton and Denise Stauffer of Wood River.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bethalto Church of God (800 E Bethalto Blvd, Bethalto, IL 62010). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Opal Lloyd Youth Group Fund at Bethalto Church of God.
