He was predeceased by: his parents, Max Rudy and Betty Yvonne Kuhn (Phipps); his granddaughter Ella Grace; his sister Marcia Ann Brant; and his brother-in-law Steve Sherwood.

He is survived by: his wife Debra Kuhn of Greenup, Illinois; his children, Felisha Evans (Danny) of Beecher City, Illinois, Ryan Darling (Mykka) of Greenup, Illinois, Erin Hetzel (Justin) of Greenup, Illinois and Dana Porter (Bryan) of Derby, Kansas.; and his grandchildren, Alaina Darling, Emme Porter, Eden Hetzel, Asher Porter, Hazel Kuhlman, Elijah Porter and Audrey Porter.

In loving memory of Max, memorials may be made to Saint Jude's Children's Hospital.
