We announce the death of Aida Oliveros Castro (Gurnee, Illinois), who passed away on September 22, 2026. Aida will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Magno Oliveros and Celedonia "Celing" Villanueva; her husband Pablo; and her siblings, Adela "Ading" and Eduardo "Eddie".
She is survived by: her children, Evangeline "Vangie" Tomczewski (Edward), Loida Antuna (Alberto) and Glen Castro (Shawn); her grandchildren, Kristina, Alexis, Patrick, Erika, Kathleen, Jeaunda of Rodrigo, Lori Ann, Maya and Leah; her sisters, Clara "Ning-Ning" and Lourdes; and her great grandchild Kian Williams. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gurnee Salata Funeral Home (4190 Old Grand Ave, Gurnee, IL 60031).
