With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Edward Mateja (Gurnee, Illinois), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Mateja and Mary Mateja; his son David Mateja; his son-in-law Anthony Ceso; his stepdaughter Katherine Kerby; and his siblings, Stanley Mateja, Bernie Jenner and Theresa Morgan.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mateja; his daughter Diana Ceso; his stepdaughters, Deborah Markus, Jacquelyn Benson (Larry) and Laura Schroeder (Patrick); and his siblings, Dennis Mateja, Vicky Nelson (Jim), Madelyn Anderson and Stella Walenter. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis TN.
