We are sad to announce that on September 16, 2025, at the age of 95, Elizabeth W. Brya (Gurnee, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rose Kennedy Wedge and Ernest Wedge; her brothers, George, James "Jim" Kennedy and John Wedge of Kennedy's Tavern; her former husband John "Jack" Nadelhoffer; and her husband Druce Lake.
She is survived by: her children, Knute Nadelhoffer (Barbara Billings), Jack Nadelhoffer (Kathy King), Mitch Brya (Elaine), Morrie Brya (late Bette), Kim Brya Sadauskas (Ted), Scott Brya (Sylvia), Paul Brya and Tim Brya (Diana).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Warren Funeral Home, Cemetery (1475 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031). A Mass was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Patrick (15000 W Wadsworth Rd, Wadsworth, IL 60083). A procession was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ascension Cemetery (1920 Buckley Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030). A burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ascension Catholic Cemetery (1920 Buckley Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030).
