We are sad to announce that on December 6, 2025, at the age of 98, Mary Grosskopf (Gurnee, Illinois) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Carlson and Collette Carlson; her husband Richard F. Grosskopf; and her brothers, Norbert Carlson (Lynette) and Richard Carlson (Virginia).
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Jeffrey W. Grosskopf (Elizabeth), Thomas Jay Grosskopf (Lori), Julie Marie Grosskopf, David Alan Grosskopf and Richard F. Grosskopf Jr. (Lori); her daughter-in-law Jo Ann Kennedy; her grandchildren, Melissa Grosskopf, Elyse Garcia (Ramon), Lauren Dudek (Chris), Bryn Glatzel (Mike), Jessica Grosskopf, Danielle Grosskopf, Bradley Grosskopf and Eric Grosskopf; her great grandchildren, Jane and Piper; her friend Sandy Geudtner; her caregiver Maria Ibarra; Andrea, Tony Miranda and Mary.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Saint Paul the Apostle Church (6401 Gages Lake Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Saint Paul the Apostle Church in Mary's name.
