She was predeceased by: her parents, John Key and Dorothy Key; and her brothers, John and James. She is survived by: her husband Fernando; her children, Margi, David, Elizabeth and Erik; her grandchildren, Ariana Aubrey, Ethan and Bryce; and her brother Jeffrey Key (Diane).
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gurnee Salata Funeral Home (4190 Old Grand Ave, Gurnee, IL 60031). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. Meredith was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who took an active interest in all her family's activities - cheered loudest from the sidelines, heading up the choir boosters, treasurer to the IL Fencing division, home schooling during covid.
