He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Sprong and Inez Sprong (Johnson); his wife Thelma Varble; and his son Jeffrey Sprong. He is survived by: his children, James Sprong of Hamburg and Tina Sprong (Randi Kallal) of Hamburg; his stepgrandchildren, Jodesi Sprong (Michael) of Hardin, McKaila Marcy of Carrollton and Cougar Marcy of Springfield; his great grandchild Weston; his siblings, Betty Webb of Batchtown and Jerome; and his sister-in-law Lois Sprong of Meppen.
