He was predeceased by : his parents, Albert Leroy and Margaret Maxine Cooper (West); his siblings, Albert "Punk" Cooper, Roger Cooper and Norma Jones; and his grandson Christopher Gonzales.

He is survived by : his daughter Brooke Cooper of Hamilton; his sister Marge Vickers of Elvaston; his grandsons, Chance Cooper and Nathan Gonzales; his great grandchild Cohan Michael Cooper; and his pets, Snowball and Tawny. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
