She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Fern Carlyle (Heit) and William "Bill" Carlyle. She is survived by: her children, Jim Ponder (Jennifer) of Grayslake, IL, Kris Ponder Moore (Chip) of Hammond, IL and Josh Ponder (Becky) of Hammond, IL.; her grandchildren, Alexandria, Gabrielle, Annelise and Griffin; her sisters, Marcia Hackett and Ramona Carlyle; her aunt Darlene Harshbarger; her cousins, Crystal Willoughby, Alana Chapman and Lisa Kibler; and her close friend Edie Whitaker. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Atwood-Hammond Grade School.
